John Proctor (FBI agent) : ウィキペディア英語版 | John Proctor (FBI agent)
John Proctor (born 1926 in Reform, Alabama) was an American FBI agent most famous for his role in the Mississippi civil rights workers' murders in 1964. An Alabama native, Proctor had been stationed by the FBI in Meridian, Mississippi where he cultivated contacts with local law enforcement, the Ku Klux Klan, and other residents. Proctor's interrogation of Klan informant James Jordan was a key break in the case.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/price&bowers/Account.html )〕 The character Rupert Anderson from the film ''Mississippi Burning'', played by Gene Hackman, is loosely based on Proctor.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/price&bowers/Proctor.html )〕
